Ikinalungkot ng 15-anyos na YouTube singing sensation na si Greyson Chance ang pagtatapos ng kanyang pagbisita sa bansa. Ngayong Miyerkules kasi siya nakatakdang bumalik sa Amerika matapos ang kanyang tatlong araw na mall tour dito.
Sa isang interview na ginanap noong Nobyembre 12, 2012, sa isang restaurant sa Quezon City, ikinuwento ni G
reyson ang kanyang kasiyahan sa pangatlong pagbisita sa bansa.
Aniya, "You know the trip has been really exciting. I've been in Malaysia and Singapore and now here in Manila. I had a blast here, I had a good time launching my new EP. 'Truth Be Told Part One' and I'm kinda sad to leave tomorrow. I'm gonna leave, I'm really sad."
Maliban sa kanyang mga minamahal na tagahanga, paboritong balikan daw ni Greyson ang bansa dahil sa hilig sa musika ng mga Pilipino.
"I think it's the love for music here. I think everybody here loves music and I love coming back to my supporters. I love coming here, I think it's a music-loving country and I love meeting my fans. They're very passionate," pahayag nito.
Kung magkakaroon daw siya ng pagkakataon ay babalik siya sa bansa upang magbakasyon at pumunta sa mga beach dito.
Truth Be Told Part 1
Paniwala si Greyson, magugustuhan ng mga tagahanga niya ang kanyang EP dahil “raw” daw ang kanyang mga awitin dito na siya mismo ang sumulat.
Ayon pa sa kanya, "It is more acoustic and it's stripped down. What I mean by raw is, I mean, you can really understand the song and you can really let it breathe when listening to it and that's what I wanted for this EP."
"I wanted to really show my skills as a songwriter and, you know, not people just think that 'He's just another pop artist' and, you know, here it is. I can actually write music," dagdag nito.
Ang "Truth Be Told Part 1" ay may limang awitin kabilang ang "You Might Be The One", "Leila", "California Sky", "Take my Heart," at ang kanyang bagong single na "Sunshine and City Lights".
Kwento pa ni Greyson, "’Sunshine and City Lights’ seems to me a very special song and being that it was the first single. To me that song is all about falling in love with your youth and you know just, just really falling in love with being young.”
"And I was inspired by you know, the experiences I have with my friends, you know, sneaking out with my friends and, you know, getting into troubles and getting home really late and that thing, and it's just me kinda falling in love with being a teenager," dagdag nito.
Greyson, 20 taon mula ngayon
"I want to be known as a musician than less, you know, a figure. And I wanna be known as a songwriter and a performer and just more about the music," dagdag pa ni Greyson.
Sa edad na 15, kitang-kita kay Greyson ang kanyang lubos na pagmamahal at pag-intindi sa musika.
Aniya, "I think everybody has had that moment where they listen to a song and they just kinda feel… just a motion to it, that click to it that you're just thinking this is just so good and, you know, can't really wrap your head around, like, you just kinda feel inspired and that's what music is about to me and that's what I wanna create for my fans, I want them to listen to it."
"And sometimes for me, you when I listen to songs there's just one part, you know when you're on you iPhone and you listen to a song and 'Oh! 2:52 I need to go back there' because there's just that one good part. That's what I want to create, I wanna create that like energy and enthusiasm when you listen to my music," sabi nito.
Maliban dito, nagbigay din ng payo ang binatilyo para sa mga kabataang nagnanais pumasok sa industriya ng musika tulad niya.
"Keep your head up. To not let people change you and don't let people tell you what to do just cuz you're young. Speak up for yourself,” ani Greyson.
Gayundin, lubos na nagpapasalamat si Greyson sa kanyang Pinoy fans na walang sawang sumusuporta sa kanya.
“Thank you so much for all your love and support and thank you for you know, just always making such a fun time here in the Philippines and I always love coming back here. I love the passion so thank you for that," wika nito .. :))
